Joella is a life saver and I'm so thankful to have met her!! I was about four or five months pregnant when I began having severe pain in the right side of my back/rib cage. I was really uncertain what was going on or how to deal with it. Upon seeing my doctor and basically receiving no help other than a prescription for muscle relaxers, which I am not fond of (therefore, NO help), I had no where else to turn. After literally lying on my couch for a week in tears (because my only relief - and that was partial at best - came when I laid down), a few friends encouraged me to go see Joella. "She specializes in maternity patients and she's awesome," they said. I figured I had nothing to lose so off I went!! During my very first visit to see her, we discovered my body was pretty badly misaligned and needed quite a few adjustments. By the time I left her office, I almost felt normal again. I had very little to no pain! A few more "tune ups" with her and I was as good as new - all that pain was gone. I was so thankful for the relief that finally came! If it weren't for her help, I would have most likely remained on my couch for the entirety of my pregnancy - not good! I continued to see her throughout my pregnancy and I continue even to this day. I really appreciate her work and am again, so very thankful for the option of chiropractic care for health and healing. Thanks, Joella! Keep up the great work!!Teresa M.
Joella is, hands down, the best chiropractor I have ever used. I was halfway through my first pregnancy when I hobbled into her office. My hike to the Dungeness Spit Lighthouse was glorious... BUT, it left my pelvis in shambles. It clicked with every step. I could hardly get out of bed in the morning. I was miserable. I quite literally skipped out of her office after my first adjustment. Thanks to Joella, I was able to continue CrossFit until the day my daughter was born. I had the pleasure of having Joella at my daughter's birth as my midwife's assistant. She was able to adjust my newborn immediately after her dramatic and speedy entrance (2 hours start to finish). She also helped my husband down the path of healing from years of chronic back pain. All together a beautiful human being and a very talented practitioner. I haven't been able to find anyone who compares since moving away... Danielle P
My son was born with a rare type of Leukemia and two heart defects. He had to be hospitalized almost weekly for blood platelet transfusions and because of respiratory problems. After we started receiving care I noticed almost immediate results. His blood counts improved; his red cell counts went up and white cells went down. No more platelets transfusions! His immune system seemed stronger and her had fewer colds. My health improved as well- I felt less stressed and didn’t get sick for almost an entire year. I was grateful for the exercise and nutrition advice offered by Joella. I felt like she was really concerned with helping us feel our best. I was skeptical about chiropractic care at first and thought I didn't have the time for it but I am so glad I gave it a chance. I wish I had sought care sooner.Jennifer P.
My midwife discovered that my baby was breech and I was getting close to my last month gestation. I was told about JP Chiropractic and that Joella does a special kind of adjustment. I have been to several chiropractors over the past 15 years. Joella was the first Dr. that took longer than 5 minutes with me. She was very thorough with her work and the baby moved into proper position. It takes lots of things to have a healthy body, fitness, proper nutrition, good rest but if your body doesn’t work properly no matter what you do in these areas you won’t be able to enjoy your healthy lifestyle. Chiropractic care is just one more smart way to taking care of yourself.Jillian B.

I don't know where to start when talking about Joella Pettigrew. I became a patient shortly after I discovered I was pregnant with twins. This was my 5th pregnancy, but the prospect of carrying twins frightened me. With Joella’s help I can honestly say that those 11 ½ pounds of babies were easier to carry than the approximately 7 lbs of each of my earlier babies. I had experienced very painful sciatica with earlier pregnancies, but never more than a twinge this time around. On at least one occasion I winced into the office, barely able to walk, and came out walking freely.
But the really amazing thing happened after my babies were born. They arrived 7 weeks early and one was having difficulties breathing. He was on a c-pap or pressurized oxygen machine. On the fourth day, Joella was able to come up to the Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit where he was. She gently adjusted his tiny little body and that night they were able to take him off the c-pap and switch to a nasal canula. Joella was again able to make the almost hour long trip to see my son in the hospital. She once more adjusted him and that night they took him off the oxygen entirely. I was and am so grateful for the help Joella provided me and my son. She is truly a remarkable person.Trina G.
